As the sky lies vast
And watches sky beings display
On its ground like a field
All it can do to be sane
Is to create an outlet
That’s why I write
II
As the land takes and gives
And mouths curse and bless
While others defecate and spit
All into its mouth
All it can do, is create an outlet
That’s why I write
III
As no eye can see goats’ sweat
Though many sticks leave on it marks unseen
The pain is no less
And the duress of no sympathy, dense
Pain needs a hearing for healing
That’s why I write
IV
Even a cockerel goes like Kokrokoooo!
When it sees dawn’s footsteps losing its print
I am no ingrate
Good passions also deserve outlets
That’s why I write
V
The world sees many in same shoes
Those who stand in those same shoes of pain
Never get to see each other in their mirrors
I aim to give that mirror
So loaded guns pointing at themselves will point at weakness
That’s why I write
VI
Call it a coward’s web
I feel its coolness
Call it a bragging bait
I love its elevations
Call it psychosis
I love its therapeutic emancipations
Call it whatever
I have it as my cocoon of safety
So there, you have it
My reasons for writing
