What would we do
If God’s number were public
Some will train their voices
As many try work in phoning
His network would need no advert
But its owners will always ask for favours
Other networks would send many juicy packages
Would that even make sense?
Giving all lines, they will all jam
II
If God’s phone number were to be public
Makola women will shout rudely
If they don’t get through
Stone crackers would join forces with hackers
Who will also bring in trackers
In cahoot with reliable detectives to track God down
And no one would want to be a driver
Who will drive for who to call?
III
On this African Continent
Jujumen are the only men who would never lack
Every sane person would draft his favour
Hoping for a chance to present
Politicians will try bribing for heavenly glories
Only when they start campaigning
Plotting a coup on God when they succeed and start aiming
Many preachers would have huge bribes
Who wouldn’t want favours as His receptionist
Efo, Abena, Nuerki, Muntaka
All will call his number with no pause for eating
But before a single line will go through
Boko and Haram will blast all
So chaos will wear chaos
If God’s number were public

Call Him all the time and best for The Lord can have a physical presence. Then I can talk to Him and see Him.

A good thought. But if all of us have such thoughts, then how would he get the time for himself? It would be a problem.

Really? But the Bible says he rested on the seventh day, no?

Yea, God rested on the seventh day as an example to His creations especially us – mankind.

So He might need to rest even if he were to visit in human form, don’t you think?

Ah yes…but this does happen. There are certain folks who claim to be the conduit to God here on Earth. Much corruption has been seen and power has been accumulated staining God’s love. What they do not know is that God’s number is already public and all can call upon him without payment, bribe, or favor. You do not traverse through man to get to God. His number? 1-800-I-Love you Only Mankind would put restrictions upon God when none have ever existed. He welcomes all to his throne and loves to hear his Children. He sent us his son to save us from all our sins so he could bring us to him when we leave this corporeal world. If you want to speak with God, Just speak and he will hear. He knows our heart’s desires, our needs, our wants before we ask but as a Father, he loves to spend time with his children. Do not let anyone ever make you think you are separated from God. He is everywhere, all powerful, all knowing, all seeing and all we must do it want to spend time with him. Jesus paid the price it took so that none of us need to pay again. God’s love is free to us, always. It is a gift free of all strings or conditions.

Yes, a likely scenario! Lucky it wasn’t 867-5309. (Not sure if you are familiar with that song,)

No, but still sounds mysteriously funny.

There was a song and the title of it was that phone number. It was a man singing to a woman about how he found her number on a bathroom wall but I guess he genuinely loved her. Anyway, after that song came out, you can imagine how many people were calling that number and apparently it was designated to someone! I don’t think they ever gave it to anyone again. Anyway, I hope you can see how it reminded me of your poem. If God had a phone number, who wouldn’t call??

Hehehehe, wow! What did they want with that phone number? To also fall in love as in the song? This is funny to listeners but I guess it’s be very horrible to the one who had the number.
