We are leaves
Because I know the world is a gigantic tree
No wonder it is free
To live for long
Watching as leaves come and go
Without raising a hand to catch any’s fall
And if any of us fall on its branch,
It does nothing to seize rotting.
To think we beautify it at a point!
But do I blame it?
It has many coming in after us
So I’d dance with the wind
Bath with the rains
Roar with thunder
The same things which may cause my fall
And when it’s time,
I’ll gladly take the lead as they usher me to a fall
Friends and foes they are
