I
We all know but refuse to acknowledge
It hides, calm like a lioness about to hunt,
Giving its prey silence to encourage
It to draw near for a catch so easily blunt
When its growth goes far beyond its storage
Its dreadful fumes will become abundant
It has no brain, everyone can confess
It destroys, so much that none can reverse
II
It is the shadow you don’t want to know
It is the destroyer without a being
It is the fearsome fire which waits to blow
It is the catastrophe none needs seen
And its aftermath forces knees to kowtow
It can run through us all even our gene
Call it anger, rage, fury or madness
Just know its needs, put a bar on its highness

Lovely poem about anger. What a lot of us don’t realize is that underneath all anger are hurt feelings.
