THE CRAB’S PRIZED HEAD (FABLE)

crab

The beautiful crab

Had tons of friends

And shirked rehab

Which was the advice from all ends

II

Her head’s beauty surpassed all

All living things left their hearts for her

She was the goddess who made all fall

Until she took in drinks to her body unfair

III

She, trusting her friends, slept

In comfort, knowing her prized head was safe

She got up, groped, until she reached where her head was kept

And realized someone broke into her safe

III

She tried to cry

But the tears had no way out

She wanted to die

But her eyes, which wandered unknown, had no way of making death out

IV

She cursed and cursed

Cried and shouted

All the shouting and curses came back in reverse

Made her a hardened monster who is haunted

V

Haunted so much

She resorted to seclusion

But many still find ways to get to her, no pity as such

But to have her as meal

VI

So please heed advices’ call

Don’t fall for flea friends

Who will jubilate at your fall

And with laughter, party at your ends

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)

Friends are people you meet along the way. They come and go they are not meant to stay. If they hurt you it’s because you’ve open your heart to someone who is no friend and makes strange bedfellows. You need people to accept your life, how far you let them is up to you.
