These hands
Merging with this mind
In the present
I do envy
Because they are what I give life to
But will live on forever
The staff of the limper
Limping into nothingness
Surely decays or turns into firewood
But these I’m giving life to
Are empowered to beat me,
My great great generations
And others to come
In the realm of life
I, in my melancholy
Envy this part of me
Though its gift of remembrance lives
And really wish I could be it
Being born out of thoughts
And living on forever

I’d like to think immortality also has its price. Lovely work!

Sure, it must have and I wish I knew its price. Scary issues.
