KWAHU BRAVES- A CHILD OF STONE

I am a child of stone

I am from the great stone

Which was refuge to my generations gone

What was a weapon turned shelter

For my forefathers

And later became my mothers and fathers

I am from the stone which protects

And tells enemies “go and die”

“Ko wu”

Scaring them off my trail

I am a child of stone

The rains may fall

The sun may shine

The winds may take charge

Until the breath of life evaporates

I’ll sail through

Because I am a child of stone

And kwahu begets only the well equipped
