AKO’S NEED TO CURE AGE

In her bid to get medicine to combat age

Ako travelled far to meet a sage

The sage asked why she needed to combat age

To be immortal was her answer to the sage

The sage tells her about age’s rage

And threats of putting Ako in a cage

The sage had for her an adage

“The child who acts wise in rage

Is always at an advantage”

The sage asked Ako to think through her rage

And to look critically and make her gage

A gage which will favour her image

Is age that bad a tenant to with a gun gage?

Ako was sent into the future

Where she saw her ageless self fleeing

From the beings who have embraced age

Every missing person was her meal

And she cried for age

Age, kept her grudge

And death, age’s friend joined in

When Ako regained consciousness

She thanked her stars and promised

To live peacefully with age

To the delight of the sage

After all one deserves rest

To pave way for others to get tired.

Quite interesting this was and it did have a nice lesson……………… I particularly loved these lines; ‘After all one must rest to pave way for others to get tired’.
