Age must be a curse
Especially when it comes with an empty purse
No one thinks to take a guess
If at a point it was worth something, this mess
Even shit once had a price
Many might have fought for them with audience and money dice
But saying this will not suffice
A mouth recapitulation will sound like lies
I stood tall among my many peers
And couldn’t count my many honoured dears
Caring not what time does clears
Could care less if I’d have a hearse
I changed my sticks like I changed my shoes
I cared less about the many boos
What was life’s don’ts and dos?
Charley man, let fools chase the goose
Time got tired and connived with age
And what they did is what’s on this stage
It looks like I’ve never known the colour beige
So you wear them and curse my cage
Sometimes I think we must all go through
This pot of life and have us the fire brew
So when we come out and see the crew
We’ll talk of how our foolishness flew.

Please show compassion for the elderly. All are born children but sadly, not all children get to be old. The graver their mistakes, the more you have to learn from. Thank you.
