If I lose my eyes
Just to have your eyes
Then I’ll have no eyes
To see the colour of your eyes
Must it always be at a cost?
If I give my ears
To have your ears
Then I’ll have no ears
To listen to your sounds as my words travel into your ears
Must it always be at a cost?
If I give my hands
To have your hands
Then I’ll have no hands
To feel the warmth of your hands
Must it always be at a cost?
If I give my legs
For you to follow with your legs
Then I’ll have no legs
To walk beside your legs
Great feats for love, must it always come at a cost?
If I give my heart
For you to have me in your heart
Then I’ll have no heart
To even know I’m in your heart
Great feats, must it always come at a cost?
Can’t you have everything that is yours?
Can’t I have everything that is mine
Can’t reason solve all our barring tricks?
For us to be in everlasting bliss?
These costs do always come with holes of doubt.

Thoughtful! Must I lose myself to have yourself if we must be one?
Then what shall feel the holes in you when my plugs are gone?
