TODAY I WAS CALLED A BUSH WOMAN

Today, I was called a bush woman
Because my eyebrows are not drawn like a caricature and painted
My nails are not fixed long like talons and painted
My lips are not coloured like a blood soaked sucker
My cheeks are not red like a scared White person
My buttocks are not loose and dancing kpanlogo
My breasts are not peeking out and shouting “Those attracted come let’s go”
My eyelids are without wings
My hair is without fake strings

1b
Today I was called a bush woman
For being the real being of my maker
How odd!
But did it strike a moral chord?

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
