NANA KONADU

You have lived and lived
Through the fires
…the storms, the fair weathers
…and the aftermaths
So we mourn in gratitude

II
From shadowing one of the progressive politicians
…like an eagle
To acting like a national prayer warrior
Right to wanting a political seat
Through to your defeat
All in a body so beautiful
…that it looked forever youthful
We saw a woman whose needs and deeds
…cried human
And we’re grateful for the grand shows

III
For your big heart
For your great kids
For your pragmatic husband
For living through winds and winds of rumours
And for all you were
We praise the warrior you were
Rest in peace!
Rest in power!
Rest like the tree
…Odum not wawa!
Damirifa due Nana Agyeman!
Wo gye wo man in your own way
And we appreciate your life herein

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
