Once upon a time
There was a lion whose personality did not rhyme
…with many others in its jungle
There were many who wanted to it strangle
But this unlikeable lion rose and took power which it did dangle
In front of all those who wanted to it strangle
II
The lion uprooted respect with fear
And made many live with at least a tear
Ruling with roars and killing many a cheer
Until some rumours started to walk
From believable mouths with tongues to talk
For ears which were hungry to hear
III
It seemed the fiery lion had taken an interest in a baby hyena called Trapena
Who was a prisoner in the lion’s court
So it was pushing the jungle’s resources to Trapena
Many of lion’s friends trooped to the court
To advise lion to stop the court
But it stayed adament and sacked them from court
IV
Immediately baby hyena was released
Lion went and secretly married her
So rumours wore evidence so so clear
To damage its reputation, with its name deceased
In a jungle which merried at its fall
With many rebelling at its call
V
And so it was that lion was silenced
Those who hated waited and saw
The role of karma in natural law
As a lion who mated a young hyena
Was a lion who was seen as a mere eyesore
That is the story of the lion which was silenced
