KARMA, PLEASE LISTEN

In many a man’s eyes
Women are the kitchen hands
The baby-making-machines
The footmats
The housemaids
The pleasure pots
The punching bags which hold still no matter how hard the punches
And if they crack
They’re easily replaced

II
In many a man’s eyes
Women are to be seen and not heard
Played with but not laughed with
They are shadows never to be seen in their light
Decorators which must brighten the backs they see not
And so they despicably treat them as second-hand humans

III
There are also those who look through rights
And try to eat their cakes and still keep them
Asking what women bring to the table
When they know women bring their lives
Making them pay for half or more for the house
And still keep their hands to themselves
Doing nothing but crossing legs and eating
May such men face hell on earth
And know more pain than childbirth
Karma, please hear this cry

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
