THIS TOXICITY

I walk into the second world with my fingers
And see the many worrying figures
Many pictures are pictures without verifiable truths
Most words are words without writers giving hoots
Praises now sweep the compounds of the worst
While vile indifference flag the chambers of the best
I see those most followed acting their obscene selves
While educational posts are pushed to uninterested shelves
Be a little careless, and you’re made a begger in the eyes of your revered
Forcing respect for you to be brutally severed
Unseen eyes follow in hope of catching you in your shallow
Unseen fingers chase in hope of nailing you down in a swallow
The law’s arms stretch to fetch “wretched words”
Pushing offenders onto jail beds
Celebrities are now the vain thoughtless Korean candies
Who many stooge to in hope of being called their paddies
It is a world turned upside down
It is like a city with many a mad town
It is a play of dupes
Where many fine succulent women are actually real life dudes
It is a world filled with mouths on hands
Hands with no ears nor eyes with all having rights to views’ lands
This toxicity –
This toxicity
…is the bane of sane heads
We must act to flee soon to safe sheds

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
