THE CHAUVINISTIC APONKYE

Once upon a time, aboa Aponkye
Lived his life disrespecting his wife by not even giving her akye
He cheated on her, insulted her and disregarded her as a real aponkye
Many advised him to desist from his behaviour
But he insulted and asked them not to be her saviour
Until he got lost one day due to his misbehaviour

He didn’t listen to his people while they were on ahayɔ
And strayed alone in Kwaemu
He met the almighty Gyata Baa
And said she wasn’t worth any fear
He didn’t run and tried making fun of her by calling her a bitchy dear
Until he found himself in between her canines

His cries alarmed mmoa Akokɔ and Oguan
Who hid to look and saw Gyata devouring Aponkye
The latter was shouting “I didn’t know females could bite let alone devour”
The scared Akokɔ and Oguan tiptoed out of the forest
And went home to tell the others
That ended the tale of the chauvinistic Aponkye
