OPPOSITIONING

Oppositioners seize every opportunity to taunt
What in their places, they’d have found difficult to flaunt
But stories never change
And same places are traded for same stories electorate never find strange
Still, life goes on

II
They glorify aggression
Castigate corruption
They have a repulsion for needs
But power sees them swallowing promising seeds
They crave instability
By subtly supporting anarchy
But the sun goes down and the dark goes up
And nothing changes
Still life goes on

III
Oppositioners call for a fall
In places they’d have loved to rise
Oppositioners call for war
In places they’d have prayed for peace
Oppositioners call for utter rebuke
In places they’d have yearned for glory
We see no change in the story
When they change places
Sadly, no matter where they stand
…they have strong support

IV
That’s why we walk our work
…but remain where we are
That’s why we work so hard
But growth shuns our woos
That’s why we know the heaven we want
But lack the will to build
Some god must wake our dull brains
To the ridiculousness of our state
For the change wheel to move
…in the right direction for our good

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
