THAT VILE GALLIC ROOSTER

The Gallic Rooster’s greed
…of Feeding off part of Africa
Makes it nothing but a despicable leach

II
Why is Marianne still pecking on a struggling continent
While posing big and powerful?
The Lily Flower should know when shame showers
And leave the struggling to grow

III
For it is suffocating our continent
And killing our land!
It is deteriorating our chances of growth
And fooling our leads
It is muddying our waters
…and forcing us into gutters
If slavery ended long ago
Surely, the Gallic Rooster should know
And cease pecking on a day whose people are awake
With the excuse of trying to wake them fully
All eyes see its deeds
…even as many mouths shut
A day will come when it will be made meat in our soup
…for our happy feast
If it does not flee from our land and leave us free
