CONTRASTING CONTRAVENTIONS

You believe in a worship in which you dress
To impress and stress on hiding sins when you, in your codified holiness, digress
I believe in a worship in which I serve
Those who needs have reserved but life holds onto because they so deserve
We’re both worshippers of our beliefs
So why push me into a make-believe foedom
Just so you can crush on fake salvation for your mind’s freedom?

II
M’ayɛ Antoa!
You curse innocent souls
While you stand on your toes hoisting their soles
On chairs of sins making you deserving of human bins
M’ayɛ Ɔbonsam!
You shoot arrows of hatred through your eyes
Whiles banking on perceived piety of lies
As your souls whine on pillows with their cries
M’ayɛ mo atanfo!
Your mouths shoot me
And your crowds boo me
Your needs blame me
And your deeds shame me
Mo nhwehwɛ bentua!
To drain me from your bowels like filth
And ship me to death which decomposes all horrid filth
Be sure to add the others like me

III
Then you can live free to be milked dry by your spirits
Residing in your gluttonous pockets acting leaders with many merits!
Then you can live free to be chased by your inactions
And pile on vulnerabilities fake prayers can hold no interactions
…with
Then you can live on your soiled prayers
Feed on cringy prayers
Sleep on sinless beds of prayers
And wait on your painless resurrection whose airs will live in your breaths
Your hardworking hating of us will have you well rested

IV.
There sure is a reason water carries oil on its pate
And mixes it not with its state
We’re the sins because we believe in living like we were born
With no written rules on our bodies
And no stalking laws on our tongues
I know we are the sins because we choose what comforts us
And not what will derail us
I know we’re the sins because we deviate from your set morals
While living head-free with no harming immorals
So go ahead and ship us to hell
With your moral bell

V
Until then
Let us live not like ones in your den
Being forced to listen to your empty roars
With no teeth to make us mouth chores
After all peace before a death is what we all wish for
No matter the route of God we choose to live through

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
