A GIRL HIDING IN A BOY

Oh dear
There is a little girl hiding in that boy
A girl who might have known how hard
…it is to live a girl in these parts
So chose a male frame as a cover
But she will grow to learn
That she in a he is worse than she wearing her she

II
Oh dear
That girl is not doing enough to hide herself
She twists that male waist
And dramatizes her wrists
She rolls those male eyes like a seductive goddess
And turns his neck like a wild Cupidess
Oh she models and slays
…with that body in a way that makes other shes jealous
It is obvious she has been caught by many
…as she hides in that body
She will soon learn
That choosing the strong tower of a man as a shield
Is the worst mistake she did

III
For manhood hates the threats of weaknesses
Yes, manhood dislikes thoughts of being seen as the other
Oh manhood hates the bait of acting like it’s built inferior
And so will taunt and haunt
Chase and harm her very essence
Even after tearing the trousers she wears
To find the skirt beneath
Manhood can be that cruel
…in these parts

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
