Positive and negative may act day and night
And can be stronger together to power light
Positive thinking can act engine to drive our nation
So let’s push to power our situation
II
We are lucky to have mouths battle our struggles
And not guns pushing our struggles
We are lucky to have eyes safe in their sockets
And not holes whose lenses have been eaten by rockets
III
We’re lucky fingers fetch their fetir detsi in their Volta pots
…cut their fufu in Akan ayowa
…fetch ayoyo from Northern calabashes
…are able to make balls of etiw through to their Fante Fante
…with their many others
IV
It is true our lapses dangle collapses
But we have reasons to dance adowa
…enjoy our Ohum
Dance our agbadza
Twirl in the beauty of our kpalongo
In our colourful apparels
Gains Have Anchored New Airs
For once let’s think progress
Instead of distress
V
For we are Gold Coasters
…owning porcupines
…elephants
…umbrellas
…eagles
…cockrels among others
We fear no snakes
For we have the most venomous
VI
Ancestors like Nkrumah, Annan and Rawlings!
Living legends like Kufuor and Chambers!
Thriving talents like Anyidoho and Atta Aidoo!
Are among the uncountable vaults of our knowledge
…and pride
Why must we gloom like doom instead of glowing?
We are the gold we need
…so let’s shine
We are the sapeles and the odums
…so let’s build
We’re our laughter and celebration
…so let’s jubilate
Eyes which see through a star black
…are the sharpests among all eyes
We do have reasons to be happy
…let the festivities begin
We carry no crosses so daunting
…to chase ourselves with haunting shadows
Through Corona and its downfalls Ghana stands
So let’s be thankful
For every day our flag flies
It signifies hope with unmeasurable scope
