Once upon a time
Maggots were the noisiest animals on earth
They could insult till cries rhyme
And could slay topnotches with their tongues to death
There was no issue maggots couldn’t turn into scandals
And there were no wins they couldn’t turn losses with their scandals
Yet they lived in shit
II
It was no secret almost all animals shunned their hugs
…and none visited them let alone drink from their mugs
Yet they received fake fans with glee
As they taunted many to flee
They called antelopes skinny leggeds
…and forced them to flee homes
They called sheep empty headed
…and forced them to act daft in homes
They even taunted elephants to flee
And shamed lions in glee
Yet none could touch them
Many did hail them in mockery
None called them out on their esteem robbery
Until they took their taunts to the chambers of goats
III
Goats called them stinky
And all cheered in agreement that they were stinky
Goats called them ugly
And all hailed in agreement that they were ugly
Goats called them lesser animals
…and left them panting in fury
So they claimed fowls were their partners
And went as far as flaunting them as such
Fowls followed, not caring much
Until hunger beseeched the land
None saw it coming, that karma hand
But fowls began pecking and swallowing maggots
…to the horror of the household
Even their shit was not spared
That ended the tale of the foul mouthed maggots
