THE DESPICABLE

He claims women are nothing without husbands
He whose looks forces him to buy love
…on illiteracy markets
Trapping him in the deceit of fools

II
He claims women are nothing without children
He whose children could be impositions
…borne out of convenience of a cunning
Or worst, traps of his rape entrapment
…seeing as he believes every woman’s smile
…is a coitus invitation

III
He claims women with sick children are the genesis of their problems
For their loud mouths and justified insults brand them so
He who twists truths into lies
…and haunts facts to disfigure in their figures
…living with inflammable body parts
…tearing him apart
See such a twisted fate

IV
If your tail is cotton
…play not with fire
If you smear gasoline as pomade
…joke not with flames
Many a woman will live single lives better
…than hundreds of his generation
Especially, if the men are political tools
…gathering crumbs through insults like him
…and the women are imprisoned in cages of patriarchy
…unable to flee their shadow cubicles
Yet he sees not through his own mirror
And goes out with all his archaic societal dirt
…breeding maggots of opinions on overachievers
…whose heels have more dignity than his person
This one needs the God of modernity
…to knock sense into his outmoded konka!

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
