Corpses!
There are corpses that must be had
Corpses!
There sure are corpses whose aura must be had
Because they hold the collar of money trees
And shake down their priceless leaves like productive bees
…on honeycombs
So much so paupering flies fear to be around their tombs
2.
Corpses!
There are corpses that must be had
Oh corpses!
Ours they must be, even if their living breathers were enemies so bad
…that their eyes could stand not our shadows
Because they will hunt all honourable fellows
And buy prestige for even dead esteem
…lighting sympathies to trust redeem
3.
Corpses!
There are corpses that must be had
Corpses!
Corpses which hold the bold reigns of fame
Turning sadness into a beauty golden clad
Filling hearts with their names
To fetch gossip flies from all of earth’s corners
Calling many a wealthy donors
…to need “the came”
…in order to boost their fame
4.
Corpses!
Some corpses must be surely had
Even if the world will think us mad
Yes prized corpses!
Because their cold can be sold,
Their hold can many opportunities mould
Their told will act bold
…to become a telling for generations
So who cares about horrific rumours and insinuations?
5.
Corpses!
Some corpses!
Yes golden corpses!
They surely must be had
Even if they’re not our children, mums or many a dad
Because they’re leaving with history
…whose pens will reek of victory
…worthy of our inventory
Why must we hide in shame
…and miss out on the game
…and be known as ducks so lame
…to maim and tame our fame?
Tufiakwa! Those corpses must be had!
6.
Agyawaadwo!
Ebenya-adwo!
Sun corpses!
Loving corpses!
Heavenly corpses which can kill scandals
…and put, on stinking feet, sandals
…without noses smelling let alone fan to turn it into a gun
We will do what we can
Even if we must put a ban
…on them
To make sure they sit on our laps
So we can fetch the claps
…and fill our cups
…with their soundless raps
Corpses!
Those prized corpses!
They surely are our treasure
…which will help us measure
…our wealth
And open doors of leisure
…with their windows of pleasure
So why must we leave them to glow
…on our foe?
