If we could insist
…on fairness and justice
To help assist
…the system
To effectively exist
…to serve
To help corruption which persists
To take its exit
…from our realm
We will deserve the “can” in our “Afri”

If our hardwork will
…match our prayers
And our trustworthiness will
…stand so firm
If our greater parts will fill
…our quills
And our hearts will
…push best quests
Instead of rots which kill
…to drill our wealth
We will deserve the “can” in our “Afri”
III
Let the wolves leave our flocks
So shepherds’ greed will stop ruling clocks
Our esteem will be firm at our docks
And our growth will glow in locks
Let determination force many knocks
So we will work to shed the mocks
So our lives will be firm like rocks
Because time ticks and tocks
…as we kneel to ills which imprison us
…only to throw us to our ancestors
…as failures transitioning in shame
