Peace is like the air we breathe
We see not its importance
…until it ceases to be
Then we cry and groan before the last of it leaves us
With regrets opening wide our eyes
…with thoughts of looking at nature
…one last time
Wise minds catch the intensity
…of a worrying sequence
II
Peace is like water and fishes
The latter cry about predators
While enjoying their liquid of life
Just a pollution sends them gasping
Take them out and they’ll be seen dead
Wise minds catch the intensity
…of a worrying sequence
III
Peace is like the sun
At its peak we burn with boredom
At its meekness we cry of cold
At its warmth we take it for granted
Let darkness promise a forever
And we scramble for its artificials
Because we know snakes jubilate to bite
…without being stick-murdered
Because we know scorpions crawl to sting
…without being stoned
Because we know horrors walk noisily
…with no compunction
Wise minds catch the intensity
…of a worrying sequence
IV
So by all means call a bluff
…and act rough
Thinking war is no sore to lure pain
Thinking can send you into the abyss of premonitions
When your hands leave their shoulders
…and your eyes leave their sockets
When your ears taste the bullets
…and your legs, taste the machetes
When your nose feels the clippers
…and your teeth leave your gums
As you watch life snuff out of your beloveds
When your body crave for food which the land has not
…and throat whips for water in a far off well
You’ll know better after waking up
…from the wicked dreams with sweats and bleeding hearts
V
If your dreams can’t even bear these truths
Try reality
By promoting chaos you know can transition
…into war
In a sphere where even a bed outside can embrace
…your faulty thoughts

You cannot seek peace and war in the same sentence. Men of war, will always be men of war. Powerful and worthwhile words shared.
