Anytime your thoughts are washed
To the shores of my mind
My heart sinks like a punctured boat
I wonder if your tender soul
…has been rendered true rest
I worry and feel sorry
…that you grew no roots to the sky of your dreams
I crave a smile at my ovations
…which never graced any occasion
So I’m hiding in the dark
