The road that bends
…and lends a path
For hate to send
Its murdering messengers
…to thread
To be a part of our whole
Is the road we need to mend
Why can’t love do the fencing?
II
As unfair tears flood our bosoms
And threatening fears shadow our steps
Let’s look for the one which broke us
…into many pieces
To piece back together into a body unbreakable
The earlier the better
Time keeps murdering us in our scattering
Can we waste a second more?
III
From the hatred to punching words
From the blows to shooting bullets
A back to sender
Is what we need to render
To put hate asunder
And make them surrender
…to the natural rights
…with justice as their rightful teacher and punisher
Let the blackness thicken in bonds unbreakable
IV
Once we’re fighting
…we’ll win
Once we’re not sitting and watching and trembling
…we’ll win
Once we don’t tear each other apart
…we’ll win
We’ll win the war of cruelty
…if we act as many broomsticks tied together
In singles we lose
So let the aluta continue
Till a light of sense covers their consciences
…to outshine the filth of racism
…pinching them where it hurts to teach them
…that colour is but a painting variation of the creator

Great poem. ❤
I love that last line, “…. colour is but a painting variation of the creator.”
