A CANDLE IN THE DARK

Here we are, in this camp of Burma
Again, pushing the left overs of the human hawk
Into the dust which waits to blend
A lover in the whirlwind of emotions, wife in utter strife
Family in the turmoil of loss
Friends in the loss of laughter
And onlookers
…wrapped in thoughts of their ends
…where it will be
…how it will be
…what will cause the be
Though no eye can see

II
This picture shows what we are
…leaves on this tree of life
Shedding ourselves when our seasons end
As our dears look on

III
But we will work our way down
…and rise in hearts
Having done all we can
…in contribution to memories
…uneraseable
For death’s importance is its ability to remind us
…of the transiency of our existence

IV
Rest well
Our dear Ahiaglo
And turn angel to guard and guide your earthly companion
Who has so much more to give
Before your reunion

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)

Powerful! So much said in so little space.
We are visualizing the scene, then drawn into the emotive present situation and the past, and thoughts of hope and determination for the future….
Great! You’ve said all there is to say, and more!!!
Thank you.
