ANGER

Anger can push you from success town
To the broken hut of a ridiculed clown
Anger can make you slip from the apex of respect
To the stinking feet of disrespect
Anger has caused many to fall from the mountain of gain
Into the ditch of disdain
Fence well your anger
…in a barn of control
…before it monstrously destroys your hard earned reputation

II
Anger is a demon
…which blinds in summon
Anger is like poison
…which knocks out the engine of reason
Anger is a bush fire
…which burns all that farmers acquire
…with hard work
Anger is like boiling water
…which has freshly lost its fire
Guguru-guguru-guguru until air calms it
…then it realizes it is part of the ordinary water family
There, nothing can erase the shame of loud pomposity
…when it was in its boiler
Nothing can reverse any burns it might have caused
Kill your anger before it kills
…your bright

III
So let ears help in closing
…when annoyances pass their mark
Let eyes help in diversion
…when sight sights a spark
Let legs help in walking
When fury hurry in building
To check the spread of the fire
…which wires to destroy revered personalities

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
