BUS PREACHER

I don’t know the trick
…in your bus stage acting
Well, that is what this looks to me

II
I don’t know the import
…of your killer-eardrums-shouting
It is oh so a turn off
…selling headaches to many with hurdleaches

III
I don’t know the style of your hygiene
…your arm’s pit has a unique stench
…which is nose wrenching
Do we need to talk about the mouth
…whose spittle shower many
…who the fear of your God cower
…into shut ups?
Maybe not

IV
Please buy some sense from your knowledge book
Acting suntidua through a disgust
…on “anti-Christs” like me
…surely takes us
…to no roundabout of repentence
We don’t need a voice whip
…in this enclosed space
…where even a whisper echoes in multiplicity
Preaching should be like a soothing balm
…or a tutoring pointer
Not a wɔ-wo-kɔn-akyi-kɔ- tipae-mu

V
And oh, the call for offertory
…do it tactfully
…with less manipulation
We know it will all go to nourish you
…for selling us seen and unseen sicknesses
And “blessing” our noses with your fine perfume
You aim to preach and not to leach Mr. Preacher
…that is what you need to learn
…from your Biblical teacher

  1. We have similar in New York City. Subway Preachers. Once the train doors close the Preachers have a captive audience.
And Yes many of them have horrible personal hygiene. Stink City!
I wish that they would just be on the Street where at least you can get away from them.

      1. Same here. Plus New York City is filled with people of many different faiths and religions. These subway have a nerve and audacity to condemn people to hell. Who died and made them God? They are filled with their own self righteousness. Ugh!

  2. Smiles. This is apt. Many of those preachers themselves need to be schooled in the proper knowledge of God’s Word/gospel. The lack of it makes them end up being a nuisance to their ‘audience’. And true, they are ‘called to preach and not to leach’. 👌
