Another strong promising leaf
Plucked by ignorance
Plucked like a weakling
Plucked without warning
Sending shivers to fetch tears
II
Another strong promising tree
Cut down by many on tall fence
Cut down by watchers and head shakers
Cut down by greedy animals
Leaving in its place nothing but agony
III
When will closed mouths open
When potent eyes send messages
To their chambers?
IV
When will closed minds open
When sharp ears send signals
Of warnings to be worked on?
V
When will innocent souls stay
Allowing defaulters to be washed
Down the drain of death?
VI
We are bread
We are salt
We are sugar
We are fragile
A fall in these seas
And water wins, drowning us with our dreams
