Once,
There was a sun
Whose light went off
Any time he saw its moon
II
Like all females
The moon complained
And threatened looking for another sun
Whose sun could melt her light in glowing togetherness
III
Still, the sun’s light went off
It knew not its problem
But knew he could shine
One day, a strange thing happened
IV
His light stood on throughout
Day and night until its moon got tired
And started complaining
But the sky who saw it all, shut her up
V
It was a test
To test the sun and teach him a lesson
Whatever one does, tongues will wag
Whatever one does enemies will thrive
We are like chameleons of ingratitude
