An elephant gave
It gave so much money
So much money to buy monkey’s loyalty
Spider looked on and laughed
II
The elephant did things
And monkey kept watch
Kept watch on trees close
As lion lost so much on its farm
III
Lion offered a reward
A reward for the one who unveiled its thief
The thief running down its farm
No faces were seen but elephant was busted
IV
So spider saw how monkey spent
And knew it was a surprising spending
Spending reward exchanged for loyalty
And whispered into elephant’s ears
VI
When monkey was chased
By angry elephant
It climbed an obscure tree
Only getting down when need be, in tact
VII
So buy, just buy loyalty
Buy loyalty with all your money
Buyers have assurers?
Maybe, maybe not, but by all means buy
Do buy loyalty

Great poem/story. For some reason elephants in stories like these always remind me of Nelly : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F3Uhrj9YVI
