Tamale harmattan is whipping my pulse

Mmm aaah what is the cause?

It scratches my nostrils and cracks my lips

Mmm aaah what is the cause?

It unevenly paints my skin and hardens my hair

Mmm aah what is the cause?

Could it be mucus or phlegms it needs?

Mmm aaah what is the cause?

Its presence is bodyless ice which won’t suffice

Mmm aaah what is the cause?

You are pepper, you’re ice and fire

Please go and get some real sweets and desire

So man can embrace your fiery self

And who knows? We might know and like you thoroughly
