Acquired mostly through pleasure
Inducing roots of pain without measure
Deadly blood sucking discomforts implant themselves
Sternly with no plans of leaving one’s trail
II
Killer of freedom from medication
Instructor of chills and headaches
Leech through fever, muscle aches and more
Learner of injection of pain and shame
Sweat hurter, it dishes rashes, sore and more
III
In this spacious space
None can protect anyone but himself
Death is its final straw
Immunisation knows not its name
Saints can get into its web
Carvers of lives get into its web
Rearing in blood is its hobby
In every second it multiplies to fight
Main workers in your system
It’s a life long pest friend
Never let your guard down
At least protect you
Taking the time to work for protected pleasures
Educating loved ones on this monstrous canker
Leaving no stone unturned to block its entrances
Yes, the killer AIDS is to be feared with all our might
Amoafowaa Sefa Cecilia (c) 2014
(Today is World Aids Day. Ebola seems to rubbish the fear of AIDS but let us not forget about the fact that AIDS is a killer disease. Protect yourself when having fun and learn much from it to be safe. Be blessed)

A good friend of mine has AIDS. I learned a lot during his struggle and the treatment that was involved. The Lord really helped me with having more compassion and understanding.

Powerful. Aid is a wonderful word. AIDS is not. The ‘s’ changes everything. And, to manage this, we need to change our approach to life
