I
When souls stray
Minds lead walks
As the bodies go astray
II
When bodies go astray
They do many talks
But they make no headway
III
Why will they make headway?
When their head their soul stalks
And their legs can’t lead the way?
IV
The body bumps in blocks on its way
Because the eyes with mouth have no talks
So there’s no alert mouth can say
V
Soul who is away
From who did you have talks
To take a stray?
VI
You’re keeping body and soul at bay
Do you want to be arrested and put in locks
Like a prisoner who tends to sway?
Stop this before you with body decay!

This is pretty good. A villanelle is not an easy poem to pull off. I’m impressed. 😉

It is interesting the way you phrase it. I often do have the same kind of thoughts. How people will say one thing but their body is saying something else. Or on the other side people will talk out the side of their neck, totally off the wall. While all the while you’re saying to yourself where did that come from. A mind is a terrible thing to waste but in some cases you first must have one in order for it to be wasted
