Striving from the stone quarry, amidst heat
Amidst hunger, kneeling at pain’s feet
And thinking of poor younger ones
I run marathons, sold my soul
Kissed dirty feet and dined
With pigs who like the
Wicked, snorted
Retorted
Kicked me
Hard
II
I still struggle so much to wriggle free
But it seems Satan needs company
And will stop at nothing to harm
Harm and pull me like star
From the sky, shatter
My past and seize
My future goal
I’m striving
Hard

You seem to have developed a new intensity in your poetry. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it.
When things get bad for me, my poetry takes off. I hope you’re doing alright. Much love, Cecilia. ❤

Johnny, you seem to be my soul thinker from afar. Thank you. I know the hot water cannot boil forever, it’ll cool. It’ll be well, thanks for realising.
