Save a place for me Grandma
Please save a place for me
I do not know what country or town awaits
After my eyes close and my breathe seizes
Save a place for me Grandma
There may be a long cue which might require one knowing another
If the current bribing here is anything to go by
I remember your saying “Aka ohuri pr3ko na maduru nhanua”, I think I understand now
So save a place for me
For no matter how dense the poverty and pain,
Getting shoulders to lie on will be pleasing
So save a place for me
Save a place for me
And make it sitting free
To make it the coolest
For I do not know the heat of the travel
Save a place for me at the world beyond life
Grandma, please save a seat for me
For I know you’re the only one who can
And will help me rest after what seems to be a long journey.

This touched me, because I too am looking forward to seeing my grandma again when I breathe my last.

Grandma’s are the sweetest, sad some mostly leave earlier.
