“Adodi”

Tilapia

One man thousand

Accompanied by the tasty “abolo”

The Volta River feeds Voltarians

And visitors alike

It lies like a mother

Carrying a ferry

Which carries all feet

Crossing her world

But smiles in serenity

The Volta River feeds Voltarians

And visitors alike

When Ghana calls

Heed , and step with safety and

Love knowing hospitable faces await

At the shores of the land, reach Volta,

And you’ll know

The Volta River feeds Voltarians

And visitors alike

Ghana my home

Ghana my Africa

Africa my home

Where belongingness is a right

For all, come and see, see

The Volta River feeds Voltarians

And visitors alike
