In the steps
There are webs
So thin but so powerful
How do I walk
As your pace demands
When with each step
The light in my eyes strain?
You’re a God
I am told
Whose house is far
Across the river of the sky
You see it all
I am told
And the answer to all your questions
must be yea and Amen
It was stressed
Please do not laugh
In your moderation chair
As I freeze, fall, hurt, and cry
Your wings must cover me
I am talking straight to you
Without a Mohammed (Peace unto him)
Without a Jesus (Christ the Lord)
Let alone smaller gods
Please hold my hands
And lead me straight
To a place called home.
