What is happening in Ghana? Even protection from the deadly ebola disease is non- existent. We are not sure of security at the entry points and now it seems measures to protect citizens are seriously being affected by bureaucracy. What is happening?
At this point I am thinking of my safety and that of my country folks. Why do we always wait until things deteriorate before frantically looking for measures? Now they are looking for land for seclusion. After that, they may need to build if they find the land and the said land has no already made buildings to shelter future ebola patients. At this rate, we might need about a year.
We all know that apart from the recent promise of building the Kumasi market that The President honoured, almost all other promises, if they were to turn in diarrhoea would have killed him long ago. I just hope people up our leadership lather know that ebloa is a human eating disease and not child’s play. What we can do is to try to prevent it from entering our land, because we cannot, there should be effective measures to isolate the infected.
Then again what am I talking about? How are we going to know those affected if they come through many pathways into the country? Our hospitality as Ghanaians is known worldwide, by the time we realise, some ebola patient feeling a bit sick might have been accommodated in a house of twelve overnight infecting majority of the household, then a spread will begin.
We complain of the bad economy, universities are suspending their reopening indefinitely using ebola as an excuse, that should tell us the level of fear among even the elites. Next will be factories, then all offices will be closed, then what happens? Hunger will kill more people than ebola can?
Procrastination and unnecessary bureaucracy might drag all of us into the mouth of the ever hungry ebola.

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is wonderful blog. A fantastic read. I’ll certainly be back.

That is all I’m hoping for but it seems the bureaucracy is getting in the way of protection.
