He says she is a woman of substance

He says she is God fearing

He says she is beautiful

He says she is honest

He said everything looks good

And he hopes for all to static remain

 

She says he is God fearing

She says he is honest

She says he is all she asked for

She says he is strong

She says everything looks fine so far

And prays it remains so

 

As one who stands in the middle

And looks from left to right

From right to left grinning,

I know it must remain like that

To make me step into their shoes someday

My mama

Now my papa
