If you woke up today thinking “what a mess my life is in” please take a deep breath and relax. At least you are alive, you can read this, you can understand. I tell you that there are many people who can’t read this and will give anything to be in your shoes today, even though you might have nothing to eat.
Half a loaf is better than none is a popular saying. You might be cursing your stars that your wages can’t cover your cost of living. My dear, you’re not alone. Someone told me when I had no fixed income that when I do get that fixed income every month, the responsibilities will also grow, it will grow to a height that I’d wish I were in the days when I had no fixed income. I laughed and branded him a joker. Now I see what that fellow meant. But I am grateful for what I have and I wish you will also stop the grumbling for a while and see the blessing in the little you manage to have every time.
We are in difficult times, even those taking ex-gratia and are still in government are shouting that they are in need, so why will the average Ghanaian’s story be different? The cost of things keep increasing, we can not cover our transportation cost and we are all managing. So let us manage and keep managing.
It’s a Monday morning, just have a positive attitude and give yourself a big smile. Put on your best clothes and let every body see an aura of positivism around you.
No pessimism must be tolerated and go about your duties as best as you can.
Happiness begins from within.
Have a good Monday.
