VULTURES

Vultures hover
Like ants promised a sugar rain at dawn
Watching from my skies
Hoping I fall like a broken log
For carnivores to have their fill
So they can have their turn
What did I do to attract this attention?

II
I am no fruitful tree
Sure no bird so free
No crown for kings
Hoping to be spared under buttocks of crowns
So why the commotion?

III
If there is a God
I ask for a gourd
To pray through the gods
Ancient and modern
To clear me from sight
Sight of vultures in chase
Sight from vulturic pimps in selling
I am like a river under no shield
Flowing and need protection

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
