THE TENANT
It is not a small box
Which can fit into my pocket
I would have gotten a chain
To chain it to my pocket
To stop all the drama
Of landlord landladyships
Houses!
Look at this horrible house
Does it merit my troubles?
LANDLORD
Horrible house? Then leave it for me!
Look at the beggar hounding the giver!
When Mahama’s government
Is putting all pockets under failed trials
Who is foolish enough to play
With what can feed him?
“If only houses were boxes”
He foolishly says
Too bad houses are not boxes
Why? If houses were boxes
I would have had more money
My father had lots of them
I just had to struggle to build this small one
For you lazy cocoon to make it a free cocoon
What nonsense!
THE TENANT
The law states that I need six months
Six months to take my time to leave
There is nothing you can do!
THE LANDLORD
Six months of payment that is
Six months of payment
So there! there is something I can do
Either pay or face the consequences
You only listen to old songs
By disgruntled failed men
And bother hardworking people with your lot!
You are like a vulture
When it rains you swear you will build
And when the sun rises your words travel
With the wind!
You are a vulture!
You are definitely a vulture!
THE ONLOOKER
Look at them!
They are fighting like rival goats
Houses can’t be buses
To travel and monies can’t be compromised
So what do we do?
The wanter wants the needer
To pay through his teeth
Lord have mercy!
Did the tenant just kill the landlord?
Hey! Let me go and see o!
