These natural black overalls
These natural white overalls
These natural brown overalls
These natural yellow overalls
Are just overalls like all overalls
We wear them to cover worldly alls
And take them off for earth to blend
Then our souls are seen as one
Who fights for packaging
When all they do is package?
We end up bickering for nothing
And neglect the purpose of our journey
I’m black, I white
I’m poor, I’m rich
I’m ignorant, I’m literate
Which soil, six feet under, knows these?

We are all of the human race…we are all born-we all die. So many do not see past the skin….they miss out on all the beauty that comes from the shining souls housed in many different bodies💚

And bless you too. These are things which must not be given a thought, but they’ve taken over our lives. Sad.

Cecilia, this poem is simple but filled with wisdom… even in history the societies that have thrived are those that espoused pluralism… Because all scripture says that we are created from one soul… and I cannot hurt another without being hurt myself… I pray for people to listen…

That is a prayer I’m supporting. Thank you very much for adding your voice to speak against this canker. Blessings.

I love this one Cecilia. Be it whatever we all come into this world the same and we all leave the same way too. No one seems to want to take this into account. They rather look at the color to decide whether what or who is wearing the rite. Great work

And that is so true, neither the vultures nor the cold know the difference, neither the termites nor the rats know the difference, yet we bicker on complexion’s superiority when we are hearts and souls with what seems like clothes for cover ups. Sad Rajiv.

Hear hear I wholeheartedly agree Ce! Brilliant. What is the point of all this strife & heartache?! I really don’t get it.

It beats sane minds. Julia, why won’t they think like we do? Why the noise when we are equal? Why the distinctions when we came through beings and our passage in the grave? Truly doesn’t make sense.

Yes and underneath our coveralls, our skin and face, we all bones and blood ~ the same. Equal. I wish everyone did think like us. World would be a better place in which to live 💜
