Let all saints be put together
And a giant screen be mounted
Let them know they’re on their own
Sit, watch keenly and see how sin grows
It’s root cannot be seen germinating
It’s little plant cannot be seen on any path
It’s odour cannot be smelt even when near
Because it grows in sheltered hearts unseen
Yes, it grows in hearts falling to confidence spree
It grows with horns before its harm is seen
Then it gains root that none can uproot

I’d say everyone has good and bad sides. We are the sacred and the profane, the saint and the sinner. I know I’m not perfect and many a day some anger or evil thought plants itself inside my brain. Riding the subway can be challenging as can dealing with sexist, racist, ageist people who are about to grate on your last good nerve. As I’ve gotten older my tolerance for B.S. is much lower and I have no problem saying what I feel. Yes my language can be earthy and salty nor do I feel any guilt or shame.
Though we may try to hide it behind homilies, smiles and trite sayings I’ve never met anybody who does not get aggravated or has had the urge to punch somebody in the face who is extremely annoying. Honestly sometimes there are horns holding up my halo.

We all feel that way sometimes. It is because it is human nature that I wrote this one. In actuality, I meant to say there are no saints alive and there are no complete sinners. No matter what there is some good lurking somewhere. Thank you Debbie for your insightful comment. I alwayys think we think alike. Blessings.

Of course, all human traits. 🙂

It’s sad to think that true saints are few and far between. That man is not what they speak. We live in a different time where actions and words only hold air and can not be contained. This a good one. Many blessings to you Cecilia
