Have you?
Have you ever drunk the fecal water of the unknown?
Have you stayed even for a day with scents of the expired?
Have you?
Have you ever been made uncomfortable enough to
Walk barefooted with care, lest you are pulled into the realm of tetanus?
Have you?
Has your home ever been considered as the African dumpster?
Has it?
Then shut it
Mouths which chirp like the beaks of birds
On things unknown as they build lairs
Of securities around their homes
Need to be cut off and sealed with needles and threads
You sit on the throne dining with the dumpers
And you call yourself part of us?
Makes me sick even thinking about it.
Wash your mouths in DDT,
Gag and swallow with water
If you think you are part of Africa
For in my eyes, you’ll always be the scrupulous!

The answer is no. I have never experienced any of those things and it makes me weep to think you have. I am so far from your country and your experiences, yet I know we are all of the same spiritual cloth. We create boundaries, they do not exist naturally. We think we are different, and this is how we lose sight of others suffering. I cannot know your experience but for what it is worth, I send you peace, my friend.

And I am grateful for your objectivity. Wherever you are, you might have to appreciate life if you’ve never experienced any of these. Politicians think of only their mouths, spends monies meant for the poor and trick people to vote them again into offices. I know we will never need aid or suffer grave poverty if our resources are well managed. Thank you for your comment.

There is a wonderful quote I think you might like, “The mellow sweetness of pumpkin pie off a prison spoon is something you will never forget.” Mitchell Burgess
Only those who have lived without freedom, truly know what freedom is. Only those who know what it is to starve, have an appreciation that borders on holiness for a crisp, ripe, fresh apple.
Many blessings, my friend.
