In the past years,
Stench rose with more than enough fists
To welcome all first timers
As people hid behind ugly filth
Trying their hardest to sell their wares
“Sister, please buy some for me
Beautiful chains made for a queen like you,
Brother come and buy tomatoes,
The onions are really cheap and I’ll do you fine,
It is one, one cedi, buy some and wear”
Bus conductors whose noses
Had long conquered the stench called
“Come and let’s go
Bantama! Tech, Tech, Tech, Tech!
Ayeduase, Ayeduaduase!
Ejisu, Fumesua!
Anloga Junction, ready going!”
Sweat from different pores rear their heads
Looking and touching without apologies
A step on the toes needed no query
For there was no leg to take to court
But many mouths ready to bath you in their saliva
I am appalled to see the stench banished
Banished to God knows where
The filth might have travelled
Because I don’t see them anywhere
Kejetia of Asante
Kejetia of Osei Tutu
The royal Kejetia of Ghana
With this feat, you are free to brag forever!
